After visiting the castle we had the scouts competing in an inter-patrol crazy golf tournament, with Joe Smith going round all 9 holes in just 32 shots – not bad considering done took as many as 57?!
After lunch in the castle grounds we whisked the scouts off to the Borth Community Hall, where we’d lined up a Traditional Welsh Folk Dancing lesson! It wasn’t long before they were all setting and casting off like professionals, even if half if them weren’t too happy with having to be girls for the afternoon!
The daily swim was next (the sea was colder than the first day somehow) before heading home to cook Chicken Rogan Josh on open fires.
As the night drew in we dragged the scouts down to the nearest beach to the site, kitted them all out in white paint overalls, and gave them the task of trying to get their patrol’s paint on as many other people as possible in 10 minutes – most were covered in paint from head to toe, though some chose to simply hide away from the chaos!
Pics when we get the chance….
@1stMarpleScouts sounds like great fun! Can’t wait for pics of scouts in Welsh dress!
