Tour de Devon

Today saw Stage 1 of the Tour de Devon. Setting off from Sidvale Scout Camp heading to Beer. The stage started with a gentle ride past the donkey sanctuary, then a long shallow down hill in to Barnscombe then a long steep slog that broke up the peloton. Then a final decent into Beer itself.

The second leg was the same route in reverse in which we got to enjoy the steep section, this time free-wheeling. We then hit the up hill stretch, again breaking up the peloton. Jack Honeychurch was the intermediate sprint champion as well as the stage winner!!
