On Good Friday, 1 Bradshaw Cub, 5 Cobden Scouts, 5 Combs Explorers, 2 Marple Networkers & 1 leader planted 400 trees. Helped by 2 two dads and 1 little sister.
We were fortunate enough to have the best weather of the whole bank holiday weekend. With the sun out, and little cloud in the sky meant we could enjoy spectacular views as we planted our trees.
Everyone got stuck in to the planting and we were soon getting through the trees.
After a very productive morning we stopped for a well earned lunch and a brew. The kids took this time to play on the rope swing!
After lunch we all got back to the business of tree planting and managed to get all the trees planted by 3pm. The results looked amazing and it should be brilliant to see how much the trees have grown in the next 8 months when we’ll be back at Cumberland for our annual trips.
Thanks everyone for all the hard work that went in to the tree planting.
