Greetings readers, to yesterday’s catch up where Dinosaurland and the Jurassic Lyme Regis reigned. An initial Cave man wide game had the patrols hunting, literally, for their breakfast then a patrol five a side football competition was followed by camp ovens resulting in Pizza and chips for lunch. Good evening and welcome aboard the minibus as we return from coasteering, Babbacombe award winning fish and chips, and finally Torquay amusement arcades. Christmas tunes are on and the sugar excited scouts are exclaiming ‘Merry Woodmas’ to all around. They sound quite happy and full of cheer! Jumping around the coast went down very well
After some incredible Coasteering (pictures to follow later, hopefully!), we’ve stopped at the UK’s third best chip shop 2013! Dee-licious! Nom nom nom. And where better to eat it than in Babbacombe, overlooking the Devon Coast! What a Woodmas Day! Now on free time in Torquay, where the scouts were disappointed to find the joke

Woodmas is just minutes away! Our patrols spent the night playing a real-life version of the 1980’s classic computer game ‘Woodmas’ which involved them dressing up as Father Woodmas, his Reindeer, and two wood-elves! Our after party around the Woodmas tree ended with a bang!
Today saw Stage 1 of the Tour de Devon. Setting off from Sidvale Scout Camp heading to Beer. The stage started with a gentle ride past the donkey sanctuary, then a long shallow down hill in to Barnscombe then a long steep slog that broke up the peloton. Then a final decent into Beer itself.
