There are two Scout troops in Marple, with Kinder (twitter) meeting at the Scout Hut on Tuesdays, and Cobden (twitter) on Thursdays, from 19.30 – 21.00.
There is currently a waiting list for both – sign up via the join form to be added to it.
Whilst both troops meet up separately, there are many activities that they do together – with the annual Easter Camp and Summer Camps a particular highlight, as well as Gang Show, joint walking days (and nights) and other ad hoc activities.
They also face off against each other in the Ian Corbishley Battle of Marple (twitter), when they compete at various challenges across a whole weekend before having a final assault course to decide which troop has bragging rights for the next year!

It looks like we’re on target for a 4 o’clock arrival in Marple. Motorway is not too busy, fingers crossed it stays like this!

Red team triumphed in the paintball, with Harrison picked out as the person who performed the best death scene!? There were a few scouts frustrated by friendly fire, but most we’re pretty excited and couldn’t wait to do it again!
Greetings readers, to yesterday’s catch up where Dinosaurland and the Jurassic Lyme Regis reigned. An initial Cave man wide game had the patrols hunting, literally, for their breakfast then a patrol five a side football competition was followed by camp ovens resulting in Pizza and chips for lunch.
